Tiny heartbeat...

Today was another md appointment. Randy picked Jordana up at school and then me at work. We had a 4pm appointment. This is the first time Dr. Stern had seen Jordana since he delivered her (besides pix).

Dr. Stern: Hi cutie, what's your name?

Jordana: Thanks for not dropping me!!!

Nice coaching job Randy!!!

So I am at 9 weeks and it was time to hear a heartbeat. The nurse, Lisa, took all of 7 seconds to find it. There it was, thumping away. Loud and strong. Nature is amazing sometimes. Maybe next time we'll get to see him/her.

It's rodeo time!!!

It's that great time of year in Houston, the livestock show and rodeo is here!! Randy and I bought the whole season and kicked it off on Monday night with a Tim Mcgraw concert. He was hoarse becuase they are recording an album, but they sounded great. Tuesday night, mom and I went to see Faith Hill. She sounded amazing, but the band did not. I know the acoustics at Reliant are not made for concerts, but Faith's band was too loud for the arena (I sound like an old fart...the music is too loud!!!). Randy saw Kevin Fowler last night and we sold our Alan Jackson tix for tonight. (good thing because the weather was horrendous tonight!!!) Next concert is Toby Keith!!. We plan on making a day of the rodeo with Jordana next Friday. We will go to the kids carnival, see the baby animals at the Agventure and go to the petting zoos. I don't think Jordana is big enough for the mutton busting, but the pig races should be fun.
My Aunt Ilene and cousins Rori and Brian are flying in for a visit the week after and they will get to experience the rodeo. I hope they enjoy it, as well as the Big and Rich concert they got tickets for.
I am still exhausted beyond comprehension and I still have this rash and now I have been getting stress headaches. I am waiting for the second trimester, where (I hope) I will start feeling normal again. I have not made a scrapbook page in weeks. I had the same problem when I was pregnant with Jordana. I was behind in my pages before she was born!! I will not let that happen again!!

Good news...again...

I have not been posting because I have been exhausted....mostly because I am pregnant. Yes, you read it right, Jordana is going to be a big sister!! As of now I am due 10/16/08. With Jordana, I didn't know I was pregnant until I was almost 3 months. I was tired, but there was little nausea, I slept great, and my appetite dind't change too much. Not so much this time, this baby is kicking my butt. In the past week I have slept no more than 4 hours a night, have had no appetite (until tonight), have had constant nausea and irritability and have a rash on my face. I hope this baby is a boy!! This pregnancy is so different!! I will post pix when you can see I am pregnant....right now I just look chunky, not a look I want to capture on film!!!

Sinus infection

Jordana has a sinus infection and a nasty cough. The Dr. put her on Omnicef which she proceded to throw up twice today. At the Dr.'s recommendation, gave it with Chocolate tonight. She kept it down. There was no eating of dinner because she was full from chocolate....but beggars can't be choosers. Then she proceded to cry and cry when I put her to bed. She cries so hard she chokes and gags. I sure hope she sleeps better tonight than she did last night. Wish me luck.

It's finally over.

For almost a year, I have been fighting the state board. They tried to hold me accountable for someone elses mistake. I lost my preceptor license. The summons came in March of 2007. The hearing was June of 2007. The hearing I lost. Another failed attempt by Walgreens higher ups in August to convice the board to change the ruling. Success in October by the Walgreens suits to convince the board to change the rule within the law to protect the pharmacists in the 3 step verification process. Although I was told my case would be dismissed, I never received official word from the board. Today....it is over. In the mail was my renewed preceptor license. A pharmacist who has a board order pending or completed cannot hold a preceptor license for 3 years. I have mine. Case dismissed.

Take time to stop....

And smell the ...tulips. Randy bought me roses and tulips on valentines day and he pulled a few sprigs out for Jordana. We told her to smell the flower....and she did! Stuck her nose right in it!! I guess that's one way to sniff it!!!

Jordana and the bunny.

We took Jordana to Studio 121 for bunny pix. They took about 50 pix and she would not smile for any of them...until they brought out the bunny. She smiled so big!! The bunny was so good, no biting or pooping. He sat in her lap and let her pet him. Luckily, Jordana didn't treat tjhe bunny like he does out cat Patches. She lies all over hime and body slams him to the ground. We decided to buy the whole session on CD, not cheap, but cheaper than printing all of the good pix!! Now I have creative control!!
